BERGER ADMITS ALONSO INTEREST

BERGER ADMITS ALONSO INTEREST

Alonso - in demand.

Formula One's newest race winners, Toro Rosso, have admitted an interest in signing Fernando Alonso - but concede it's unlikely to happen.

Alonso is out of contract with Renault at the end of this season, with rumours linking him to a possible move to either BMW or Honda.

However, another team that would like to sign the double world champion is Toro Rosso, with co-owner Gerhard Berger admitting he would be keen on the idea.

"Of course I am interested (in Alonso)," Berger told French sports daily newspaper L'Йquipe, "But so is everybody else."
